For those who don’t know, this design of Mega Man is based on the box art of the original Mega Man game for the NES. This box art is basically a running joke as its depiction of Mega Man looks absolutely nothing like Mega Man is supposed to look.

The inclusion of Bad Box Art Mega Man in Street Fighter X Tekken is funny but also vaguely insulting to the Mega Man fanbase, as the character description they used fits that of Mega Man Volnutt, who was to be the star of Mega Man Legends 3, the game they famously cancelled in 2011. It’s a bit of a kick in the dick.
